Based in Los Angeles, AVA LAUREN GRAYSON is a creative director and author of Young Adult storytelling from a female gaze. Award-winning director, Grayson graduated from ArtCenter College of Design’s Undergraduate Film program with Distinction. With a background in production design, styling, and art direction, Grayson is proud to have worked on over two-hundred films and campaigns, including three features, award-winning indie shorts, and a Columbia Records music video, and has worked with clients such as Cuyana, MGA Entertainment, Libertine Fragrance, Runway 7, and Lentement Studio.
With 5+ years of Art Director and Creative Director experience creating immersive visual environments for fashion, beauty, wellness, and entertainment brands, Grayson specializes in set design, styling, art direction, and campaign production, transforming creative concepts into detailed, memorable worlds across commercial, editorial, digital, and print platforms. She has managed multidisciplinary teams of 30+ across departments and has overseen budgets of 50k plus. With a background in fashion and production design, Grayson has a youthful retro flair to her visual art, photography, and creative direction. All of her work promotes female strength, power, and boldness. Grayson is passionate about working with female-led and sustainable brands.
As a writer, Grayson has had four stories published by Havok Publishing, was published in the Crowns: A Heartbrooks Anthology by Quill and Flame Publishing House in December 2023, the Once Upon a Valentine’s Anthology from Azala Press in February 2024, and the Creatures, Crowns, and Curses Anthology from Quill and Flame Publishing House in October 2024. Grayson recently signed a two-book deal with Quill and Flame Publishing House for her debut YA space fantasy duology. Her third book Ravenspire comes out in 2028. If she's not writing or creating, you can probably find her rewatching Lord of the Rings, getting a tattoo, or feeding her cat. :3
